The market is flooded with cheap biometrics that makes it hard to resist. The sad truth is major deficiencies are discovered after only a few weeks or months of use. Many do not realize that when a System is paired with an inaccurate, poorly designed attendance capturing device, the benefits of a good Systems are negated. Defective data picked up from these low end biometrics causes your System to produce erroneous results - its called; "garbage-in-garbage-out".

Outdated prox. card (e.g. rfid, uhf, etc.) and PIN identification systems do not ensure restricted access. In addition, cards and PINs can be easily lost or stolen. Biometric identifiers such as fingerprints, face and irises are one-of-a-kind, and cannot be guessed, stolen, shared or replicated.
Passwords are not enough. With the rise in security breaches in recent years, many organizations believed that two-factor authentication would be the answer. Biometric identifiers can't be forgotten. There's nothing to carry with you and nothing to lose. Thanks to TouchID on iPhones, many consumers are already familiar with on-device biometrics – the newest Samsung & other branded phones have them too.
There's NO need to provide users with costly access cards or other expensive tokens that are easily lost. With biometrics, you can ensure your security and do so affordably. Financial institutions and government agencies have already migrated to biometrics as the most viable solution for data protection. It is likely that more organizations will follow suit in the coming years.
